* Expected by students - Based on pre-test survey question
MyPsychLab
63 students registered on
PsychLab. For students that registered, their average on Test
2 was 4.3 percentage points (79% compared to 74.8%) higher
than students that did not register.
Studying
On average students studied/read 2.3 hours the first week of the
unit (0.6 less than on Test 1) and 3.5 hours in the second week
(0.4 hours more than on Test 1) . 4% of students (n=11) did not
study at all but this group of students received an average grade.
There was not a discernible pattern between amount of studying and
grade. Bear in mind that this does not necessarily indicate that
studying is ineffective, but perhaps that students study to a
similar level of familiarity with the material, which takes
different lengths of time across students.
